MO.HO.CO. Business Spotlight: Glamo Society Bridal & Formal Wear

Glamo Society Bridal & Formal Wear
Bridal, Formalwear & Beauty Services | Raeford, North Carolina
Some businesses sell products. Others create experiences.
For Kenna Parks, founder of Glamo Society Bridal & Formal Wear, the mission has always been bigger than dresses, tuxedos, or beauty services. It is about helping people feel confident, celebrated, and seen during some of the most important moments of their lives.
Located in Raeford, Glamo Society has quickly become a destination for bridal gowns, prom dresses, tuxedo rentals, and beauty services across Moore and Hoke Counties. But the story behind the boutique is what truly sets it apart.
Kenna's journey into entrepreneurship began long before Glamo Society opened its doors. She started doing hair at just 15 years old and later launched a beauty-focused YouTube platform called "Glamolush." Combining her passion for beauty with degrees in Psychology and Business Administration, she built a career that has taken her across Kentucky, Hawaii, Seattle, and now North Carolina.
As an Army wife, educator, licensed cosmetologist, pageant director, mother, and entrepreneur, Kenna has experienced both success and significant life challenges. Those experiences inspired her to create a business centered on empowerment, resilience, and confidence.
"I wanted Glamo Society to be more than a bridal boutique," Kenna shared. "I wanted it to be a place where women feel encouraged, celebrated, and beautiful during life's biggest milestones."
Today, a typical day at Glamo Society might include bridal consultations, prom dress appointments, tuxedo fittings, beauty services, social media content creation, and community outreach. Whether helping a bride find the perfect gown or preparing a student for prom night, every appointment is designed to create a personalized experience.
The boutique has become especially known for its bridal styling services, wedding beauty packages, and formalwear offerings. Clients often describe the experience as welcoming, supportive, and confidence-building from the moment they walk through the door.
A recent milestone for Glamo Society has been the successful relaunch and expansion of the boutique in its new Raeford location. Through community partnerships, fashion
showcases, pageants, and local events, the business has continued to build momentum while establishing itself as a growing regional brand.
Beyond fashion, Kenna remains committed to mentorship and workforce development. Students and jobseekers interested in beauty, fashion, marketing, entrepreneurship, customer service, or event coordination can gain hands-on experience through internships, seasonal opportunities, and mentorship experiences offered by the business.
I wanted Glamo Society to be more than a bridal boutique. I wanted it to be a place where women feel encouraged, celebrated, and beautiful during life's biggest milestones.
Looking ahead, Glamo Society plans to expand its bridal inventory, formalwear offerings, community partnerships, and youth engagement efforts while continuing to deliver what Kenna calls a "confidence experience."
"What makes Glamo Society special is that it blends beauty with purpose," she said. "It's a place where glam, grit, and genuine connection come together."
